Rachel Anderson

Facilitator & Coach

A powerful and seasoned executive coach and facilitator, Rachel revels in supporting her clients make the simple shifts that unlock remarkable changes. She is fascinated by adult human development and potential; over the last 15 years Rachel has coached over 1000 leaders and executives 1:1, enabling them to realise and step into their full potential through her strong blend of empathy and challenge.

An experienced and inspiring leader herself, Rachel draws on 23 years of unusual and diverse leadership and management experience in Operational Management, Policy and Strategy, and Learning and Development. She’s worked in Government (contributing to Land Reform, and Devolution), in employee relations (from both sides of the table), in organisational development, transformation, integration and business improvement.

Most recently Rachel was European Head of Coaching and Facilitation in a global consultancy, developing, aligning and motivating a team of over 90 professional world class coaches to deliver quality leadership development programmes.

Unusually, Rachel also had a successful career in Forestry, managing trees and woods before realising she found it more rewarding to help people to grow instead!

Her versatile approach has enabled her to now work across many sectors and industries: public sector, not for profit, energy, retail, finance, science, FMCG, small businesses and other growth focused transformational clients.

Rachel quickly establishes a warm coaching relationship with empathy and wise insight. Practical and compassionate, she flexes every coaching journey to maximise the personal learning for that individual, whilst making relevant connections to organisational and systemic context.

Both reflective and active, Rachel enjoys Qigong, kickboxing, snowblading, gardening, reading, writing and a very full family life. She describes herself as a 'social introvert'….and she still likes trees.

Testimonials

Rachel brings a wisdom and depth to coaching interactions that is truly impressive. If you are looking for a quick fix, 5 top tips or a few sticking plaster approaches then she is not the coach for you. If you are looking for a deep, compassionate and joyful exploration of where you are, who you want to be and reflect on how you chose to get there then she is definitely the coach for you. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Thoroughly enjoyed working with Rachel as a breath of fresh air. Her wholehearted way of being is a tonic for the soul, and her ease and care, combined with her wisdom and insights, make for powerful conversations. I've gained both more "heart" and backbone as a result, for which I am very grateful! Would most definitely recommend!
